Co-Sleeping to Crib with Newton Mattress

Before the arrival of my fourth child, I made a point to stress that he would not end up sleeping in our room after six months (to some of you that’s too long-if you know a secret teach me your ways!) of birth. Well, well, well. Grey has just hit nine months and we’re just getting him to nap and sleep consistently in his own room. The main reason for this sleep success with lengthy snoozes is due to this amazing innovative and safe baby mattress by Newton Baby and being consistent with a schedule/routine. It has taken a few months to get Grey to fall asleep in his own room and in his own bed but practicing a routine everyday, putting him down in his bed and also letting him wake up in his bed has really given us co-sleeping to crib success. The routine calms him down and helps him start to understand what is about to take place and putting him down in his bed extends that understanding. Adding the waking up in the crib part shows this is how it’s going to be, you’re ok and Mama/Daddy are coming back to get you. The process sounds so sort of simple but it did take a while to embed this understanding in our baby.

Why Newton Baby Mattress?

I must admit before having the opportunity to review this product, I was just going to keep baby on his older brother’s plastic mattress and call it a day but after just the initial unboxing and trying the mattress out for ourselves-yeah Hubs and I got down and put our face in this mattress and took several deep breaths! We were hooked and the light bulb went off in our heads…this is going to help Grey sleep so much better. Just this initial test had us hooked because we all  think about keeping baby safe and making sure they can breathe and there’s not too much in the crib but to breathe completely through the mattress never crossed my mind. Genius! You would think I would be less impressed after four babies but seriously I was blown away. Baby Grey doesn’t like a lot of things on him when he sleeps so with this mattress a sheet isn’t necessary, you can just put baby on the removable cover and keep it moving.  If there’s an accident with a spill or from a diaper leak, just unzip(child safe zippers) and remove for washing!

Let’s take look inside and see for yourself this cool design. Newton Mattresses contain absolutely no foam, latex or adhesives-so no allergens or off-gassing. This means less worry for parents.

Is is worth the price? My answer is YES!

When I looked up the cost of this mattress, my first thought was that it was too expensive. As a Mama of four, I want to shop smart and only invest in items that are worth it and can last a long time. Newton Baby is so worth the price which after research, I have found to be very competitive with top mattresses that don’t even come close to the safety features and more of this product. Trust me, I received this mattress over two months ago and have given it a good go to make sure I shared a real review with you Mamas and Papas. I honestly have nothing but pros to share with you…it’s safe for baby, hypoallergenic, convenient, stylish and price competitive. The best part is, my mind is more at ease when it comes time to transferring him from our room to his crib in his own room.  The breathable material allows Grey to maintain a safe and comfortable environment to rest and #wakeuphappy.

There’s nothing like a peace of mind while getting restful sleeps at night for everybody so to sum it all up, this is well worth the investment. Shop the current four designs (we picked Gray of course!) and accessories. I also love that replacement covers are available too! Take a look at your next baby mattress here.
